Arteta: Only Man City signing Harry Kane can stop them now

So you're saying there's a chance?

Mikel Arteta believes Arsenal can still win the Premier League – IF Manchester City sign football’s biggest trophy repellent Harry Kane.

The Spaniard made the claim after a disastrous 2-0 home defeat to Aston Villa handed City the initiative in the title race.

After ending Bayern Munich’s 12-year dominance of German football, England striker Kane is the only man in world football who can stop City’s ominous march towards a fourth consecutive Premier League crown – according to the Arsenal boss.

‘It’s over. Congratulations to Manchester City. Nothing can stop them now. Unless something ridiculous happens. Like they sign Harry Kane’, Arteta told Paddy Power News after the game.

‘The last time Bayern didn’t win the league, Man United won the league. That’s how long ago it was’.

‘Then along comes Harry and Bayern bottle it. The man must’ve been born on Friday the 13th’.

‘The man must go home at night. Stick his shoes on the table, knock over a saltshaker and break a mirror’.

‘He’s about as lucky as a black cat walking underneath a ladder with a magpie in its mouth’.

‘He could sign for Celtic and get relegated from the SPL’.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane has distanced himself from a move to the Etihad claiming he is fully focused on knocking Arsenal out of the Champions League.

‘Bayern smashing a double-figure aggregate score past Arsenal in the knockout stages is Champions League heritage. Like Manchester City drawing Shakhtar Donetsk in the group stages. Or Real Madrid beating Liverpool in the final’, Kane told Paddy Power News.

‘And I’m 100% committed to scoring a double-hattrick against them on Wednesday’.

When asked if he saw himself remaining at the Allianz Arena next season, Kane said:

‘Right now, I’m just focused on derailing Bayern’s success in Germany. But who knows what the future holds? Maybe one day I could sign for PSG and end their dominance in France’.‘
