15:05 – Paddys Milestone (NAP)

This is a really competitive affair. I like World Of Dreams, who is part owned by a friend of mine! He’s had a few issues but this could have been his target all along. However, the most interesting horse in the race is Paddys Milestone. He was the biggest eye-catcher last time out at Down Royal. He travelled really well and he’s off a mark of 102. He’s much better than that rating.

15:40 – Firefox (each way)

There isn’t a lot between Mystical Power, Slade Steel and Firefox – and at the prices, I can’t go against Gordon Elliott’s runner. He ran a brilliant race at Aintree after finishing third in the Supreme at Cheltenham. He’s a great each-way bet.

16:15 – Smooth Tom

I was sweet on Bialystok before finishing second in the Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr earlier this month. The one issue is that the handicapper may have a slight hold of him. He’s got a half chance but I’m with Smooth Tom. He’s a classy horse on the Flat and he’s adaptable. He’s very lightly raced over hurdles and he can handle soft ground. There is a concern about his lack of experience but he’s well treated off a mark of 130.

17:25 – Dinoblue

The ground probably won’t suit Banbridge and Captain Guinness has been disappointing here on a couple of occasions. The race will set up nicely for him but his price is off-putting. Dinoblue should be better over this two-mile trip and I wasn’t too disappointed with her second at Cheltenham behind Limerick Lace. If given a more prominent ride, she’s the one to beat.

18:00 – Montys Star

I was with Montys Star antepost in the Brown Advisory at Cheltenham. He finished second there and he’s been impressive this season. He’s just a really likeable horse. He’s the one they all have to beat.
