Each and every day of the racing year, we bring you a bumper NAPS Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:30 Punchestown – Casey West (Spotlight)

Runner-up in a maiden hurdle and a bumper for Colin Bowe, never ran during a spell with Willie Mullins, but CASEY WEST is now an improving sort in orthodox hunter chases. Produced a good run against the improving Romeo Magico (late sixth in the Aintree Foxhunter) at Limerick before landing a 2m5f hunter chase victory at Clonmel back in January. Trainer won this event in 2021, and has a leading chance if he adapts.

15:40 Punchestown – Mystical Power (Irish Post)

Pedigree is hard to live up to, but MYSTICAL POWER is certainly doing his best, finishing a clear second (having led but then outstayed) to Slade Steel when hooded in the Supreme Novices’ before holding off Firefox by a diminishing margin in Top Novices’ at Aintree. He has plenty of speed and could be one to exploit a quicker surface if rain doesn’t arrive in any great quantity.

17:25 Punchestown – Dinoblue (Racing TV)

DINOBLUE was second to Maskada in last season’s Grand Annual before landing valuable handicaps at Fairyhouse and at this meeting. Resumed with victory over Fil Dor at Naas, and backed that up with Grade 1 victory over Gentleman De Mee at Leopardstown. 6l in front of Captain Guinness when second in the Dublin Chase but lost out to Limerick Lace in the mares’ race at Cheltenham.

18:00 Punchestown – Monty’s Star (Tipman Tips)

Half-brother to Monalee, MONTY’S STAR has not surprisingly taken well to chasing, jumping well for a C&D beginners win (over Three Card Brag) on New Year’s Eve and better again when second to Fact To File in the Brown Advisory at Cheltenham under a positive ride (Sandor Clegane fourth) and will be a major contender here.
