Horse Racing Tips: A 9/1 pick leads the Tuesday charge at Newcastle

Dual C&D winner Abruzzo Mia has to be high on the list with his latest narrow defeat here looking solid form, while the fifth in that race Feel The Need is worth a second look as he met all sorts of trouble. Waiting All Night and Prairie Falcon are others to consider, but the selection is BICEP, who has winning form over C&D and went close on his reappearance at Southwell last month.

18:30 Exceed Now

Dyrholaey was undeniably impressive at Wolverhampton six weeks ago and may well be good enough to take a double-penalty and drop in trip in his stride, but is taken on with EXCEED NOW, who shaped nicely in the face of adversity on his Kempton debut last autumn. Indicate and Queen’s Guard are the other two with decent claims in an interesting novice.

19:00 Ten Dimes

Not much went right for TEN DIMES on her debut here late last year, when a clear second to a stablemate of interesting newcomer Nartaji, and she sets a good standard. Sneaky Girl can improve on her opening effort here, while Radiant Beauty’s Chelmsford debut, when some way off the first two, has been let down since.

19:30 Tillybob

The hat-trick seeking Brother Dave and Angel Amadea are high on the list, while the drop back to 7f could be a good move for Wallaroo. However, it may be worth taking a chance with TILLYBOB who is much less exposed than her rivals and who would have finished closer with a clear run on last month’s return/stable debut.

20:00 Miners Gamble (NAP)

Slowly into his stride in a C&D handicap in which the leaders didn’t come back a month ago, MINERS GAMBLE (NAP) did well to finish as close as he did and gets the nod. The unexposed Cuban Storm, who’s related to a couple of Tapeta winners, is worth tracking in the market, along with Notion In Motion, a half-brother to the yard’s four-time course winner One More Dream.

20:30 Badosa

Few of these are solid. There may be more to come from Brummell, who improved to win a Southwell nursery on his final outing last year, but BADOSA is taken to complete the hat-trick having proved herself here when making a successful stable debut over C&D last month. Come On Irene and Forever Eighteen are others to keep an eye on back from their winter breaks.
