13:50 – Kyeema

There are some interesting newcomers in this novice event, but the percentage call is to side with KYEEMA, who showed plenty of ability when finishing third on debut at Newbury last month. That is usually an interesting race for the track and was won by a useful Godolphin horse, so is form to take a positive view on, and he looks a sure-fire improver now stepping up to seven furlongs. Berkshire Phantom is another who seems likely to build on an encouraging opening run and is second choice ahead of Richard Hannon debutant Starnberg.

14:25 – Inverness

INVERNESS built on his debut experience when winning a good race at Goodwood on his final start last season. He wasn’t seen to best effect up in trip and grade in a listed event at Epsom on his return in April and was on his toes and sweating before running creditably in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot last time. He remains with potential now moving even further up in trip and he should be much happier in this less-taxing company. Fellow three-year-old Berkshire Breeze is also of interest now upped in trip.

15:00 – Lovely Mana

This looks competitive but LOVELY MANA arrives in top form having won her last two starts and looks the be with. She is being kept busy this season and resumed winning ways at Newcastle last month and followed up back on turf in all-aged company at Sandown last week, comfortably beating a solid yardstick. That performance is backed up by a solid timefigure and another 8 lb rise should leave her competitive. Alligator Alley is weighted to have a big say and next on the list after shaping well on a couple of occasions this season.

15:35 – Chindit

CHINDIT is a solid operator who landed the odds in style in a listed race at Doncaster on his return but has come up short at the top level in the Lockinge and Queen Anne Stakes both starts since. He was below his best on the latter occasion, but he is a big threat at this level, and looks set to run a big race on the pick of his form. There wasn’t much between My Oberon, Modern News and Perotto at Windsor recently and they should once again be on the premises.

16:10 – Warren Point

Only three runners and there isn’t much between them on form, though WARREN POINT has created a good impression so far and is taken to maintain his unbeaten record. He defied a penalty when winning with more in hand than the margin suggests at Doncaster last time and he should relish stepping up in trip now. He looks a potential pattern-class performer and an opening mark of 94 looks a fair one. Stablemate Wild Crusade met with his first defeat this year at York last time but he seems sure to run his race again.

16:45 – Belhaven

BELHAVEN was well backed and duly showed improved form upped to this trip to make a winning handicap debut at Redcar in May and took another step forward when following up at Sandown last month. That win was all the more creditable as she overcame the run of the race, quickening to lead in the final 100 yard to score with a bit in hand at the line. This is a better race and she is 5 lb higher now, but she is clearly thriving at present and should have even more to offer. Another improving three-year-old in Washraa looks the main danger.

17:20 – Sayifyouwill

Cases can be made for several but preference is for SAYIFYOUWILL, who took her record to four from six this year at Salisbury last month, and with that form working out particularly well, she’s fancied to continue her rich vein of form and make light of a 2 lb rise in the weights. Out From Under went close back at this trip at Newmarket three weeks ago and is taken to give the selection most to think about.
