RISK TAKER looked really good when bolting up at Haydock last time by a wide margin under softer conditions.
He has taken a 9lb rise for that particular effort, but this looks tailor-made for his stamina to come into play. The forecast doesn’t look great, but he will love it if it comes up very testing.
MOTTRIB was still travelling like the winner well inside the final two furlongs at Goodwood last time despite having a terrible run round, when posted deep on the outside of the field.
He was entitled to get tired later on and wasn’t given a hard time up towards the line. Mottrib is lightly raced improver and one to watch.
PERFECT ARCH got himself really unbalanced in the final couple of furlongs at Chepstow last time, so it was a pretty decent performance in the circumstances. Moving on to a more galloping track with a slight downturn in conditions will suit him down to the ground.
Added to that he steps up in distance, so we have a good few positives in our favour.
I’d imagine CAROLINE DALE is going to be positioned towards the top end of the market and she has the best form on offer in my opinion.
Dropping back down to the minimum distance looks to be in her favour and with the forecast conditions to be on the soft side, her pedigree suggests it will prove no problem whatsoever being out of a Tagula mare.
JUST HISS is just about the only well handicapped runner in the line-up and he has some decent form on this particular track.
The race is not loaded with lots of natural pace and so, from his inside berth, he may well be able to take the race by the scruff of the neck. We have a good front running jockey on top in Jason Hart too.
INTERNATIONALDREAM looked an absolute picture in the prelims prior to running a cracker behind Steel Bull at the Glorious Goodwood fixture.
He was just about the first runner off the bit on that occasion and did remarkably well to stick to his guns and hold on for third. Going up a furlong will suit and he can prove his class in here.
Let’s hope MR LUPTON can reverse a few pieces of form in this from his disappointing run at Goodwood.
He’s dropped another 3lb in the handicap, so there is no getting away from the fact he is dangerously well handicapped. From stall 15 he’s going to be positioned up against the stand side rail and that certainly isn’t a negative, he’s a nice each-way price too.
