Sunday racing is back once again on ITV this weekend with seven races to enjoy from Newbury and Ripon.

Let’s get straight to it in our weekly attempt to wipe the smile from Paddy’s face!

Here’s what I’m eyeing up on a great day’s racing:

The latest racing odds are on PaddyPower.com now

13:50 Newbury – Barossa Red

We start in handicap company over 1m and any cut in the ground will bring BAROSSA RED who has place claims at the very least into it for Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding.

A big weight might not stop the gelding who ran really well at Haydock last time and can go off the same mark here.

14:25 Newbury – Mottrib

Another handicap here, this time over 7 furlongs. MOTTRIB is lightly raced and might still be able to do better. The son of Invincible Spirit did not run badly at Goodwood last time when fifth and just behind the reopposing Zhui Feng.

He has been dropped 2lb since then, which seems fair and Andrea Atzeni takes the mount. It might be he is better at 6 furlongs than 7 furlongs, but he is worth a few quid each-way.

15:00 Newbury – Enhanced

Handicap company again, although the trip goes up to an extended 1m 5f. ENHANCED is a strong stayer for Hughie Morrison and Rob Hornby, and must have a chance in an open heat.

The son of New Approach ran well enough at York last time, but was decent at this track the time before and return to this course is interesting.

15:35 Newbury – Miss Jingles

Now we have a Listed event for youngsters over 5 furlongs. MISS JINGLES is the improver here and getting 3lb from Sardinia Sunset can make all the difference.

Trained by Charlie Appleby and ridden by James Doyle, Miss Jingles picked up Country Carnival at Goodwood most recently and can confirm that form with the runner-up having the run of the race that day.

14:05 Ripon – Hesslewood

We start at Ripon with a handicap over 1m and its tough heat to call. HESSLEWOOD has not got much in hand on handicap ratings and is no good thing.

But, the gelding likes this track and will enjoy a drop in trip for James Bethell and Kevin Stott. He’s got every chance of hitting the frame at the very least.

14:40 Ripon – Fountain Cross

This is a conditions event for two-year-olds over 6 furlongs and on form FOUNTAIN CROSS should take all the beating in a weak event.

Trained by Richard Hannon and the mount of David Allan, my hope was far from disgraced at Goodwood last time when 100/1 in the Vintage Stakes and was a decent winner at Haydock earlier in the campaign.

15:15 Ripon – Gunmetal

Lastly, the big betting race of the day and the Great St Wilfrid Handicap over 6 furlongs. GUNMETAL is a dangerously well handicapped horse and loves this track. He’s still only seven, but it was two years ago he made all in this off a BHA handicap mark of 97.

He’s now down to 87 and showed enough to suggest he has not completely lost his way. David Barron is the trainer and Ray Dawson takes off a valuable 5lb. He might just be thrown in and has every chance of making all once again. I’m hoping he will shoot them down.

So best of luck and pray for Yeeehaaas. You hear me Paddy?
