8:00pm – Roma v AC Milan

UEFA Europa League match at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome
TV: TNT Sports 4

Roma to win

Roma secured a crucial first leg advantage via a tight 1-0 victory at the San Siro last week. That heaps the pressure on the visitors as they head to the Italian capital.

Daniele De Rossi has breathed new life into this Roma team after replacing Jose Mourinho in January with just two defeats in all competitions. Narrow wins have been a key feature of his game plan, with their last three victories coming via a 1-0 score line, and they will be up for the battle of holding off AC Milan to book a last four spot.

8:00pm – Marseille v Benfica

UEFA Europa League match at the Stade Velodrome, Marseille
TV: TNT Sports 5

Benfica to Win

Benfica are set to miss out on the Portuguese league title this season but they are battling hard to secure a Europa League semi final spot.

A 2-1 victory in Lisbon in the first leg puts them on the front foot ahead of a trip to face a Marseille team in dreadful form with five successive defeats for the French side in all competitions.

Despite being at home, there is little to suggest Marseille’s slide will end here, and Benfica are unbeaten in their last three away European matches.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score anytime

The sole bright spark for Jean-Louis Gassset’s team of late has been the eye-catching of veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabonese international has formed one half on Arsenal goal scoring reunion club in France this season as he and former Gunners teammate Alexandre Lacazette sit at fourth and third respectively in the Ligue 1 goal charts.

Aubameyang scored late on in the first leg, and has 10 goals in eight starts since Gasset’s February arrival, with his 10 Europa League goals placing him as the competition’s top scorer so far in 2023/24.

8:00pm – Fenerbahce v Olympiakos

UEFA Europa League match at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, Istanbul
TV: TNT Sports 6

Both team to score

Jorge Jesus’ Fenerbahce scored twice late on to keep themselves in the tie, with a 3-2 quarter final first leg UEFA Europa Conference League loss away in Greece last week. Those goals mean the contest is still open ahead of a showdown in Istanbul. The hosts are favourites to progress with Olympiakos possibly sensing they should have put the tie to bed in Piraeus.

One thing that looks to be an almost certainty is goals. Fenerbahce have scored in seven of their last eight games, with no clean sheet in the last six. Olympiakos have also netted in seven of their last eight, but with just two shutouts in defence.
