13:50 – Chief Mankato (each way)
Chief Mankato won with a bit in hand on his racecourse debut at Windsor. He wasn’t seen then until dipping his toe into Group 2 company on the July course and then subsequently ran in the sales race on bottomless ground. He’s now back at a more realistic level and with Billy Loughnane booked, he can go well at an each-way price.
14:25 – Cavalry Call
This is always a hotly-contested race with lots of the big stables flexing their muscles in the three-year-old division. Cavalry Call has been talked up as a potential rocket and we will see if all the talk comes to fruition!
15:00 – Run To Freedom
The Henry Candy yard have not had many runners since the turn of the year but those who have run have gone quite well. Run To Freedom was fourth in this contest on his return to action back in 2022 and he has is the class angle in the line-up. He kept top-level company last season and this looks an ideal launchpad for another step back up the ladder.
15:35 – Native Approach
Native Approach clocked a ridiculously fast final quarter-mile when winning last time at Kempton and although he has to switch that form onto the turf, he still falls into the ‘could be anything’ category. There are a few in the line-up who have more proven form but have been beaten when stepped up in grade and Native Approach looks like the young three-year-old pretender.
