12:30 Soft Risk

Muhtamar played second fiddle to a promising stablemate of Limerick Leader over C&D last month, and a repeat of that effort would bring him squarely into the equation. However, the most interesting contenders are the course bumper winners Travail D’Orfevre and SOFT RISK, with preference for the latter.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:05 Be The Difference (NAP)

Wetherby runner-up BE THE DIFFERENCE (nap) is taken to go one better and open his account. Second choice is Flexi Furlough, who ties in closely with the selection. Other likely players are Flood Defence and Petite Rhapsody, who both ran well over C&D 22 days ago. Go Bob Go is open to improvement.

13:40 Bill Baxter

This looks a good opportunity for BILL BAXTER who had smart bumper form and ran into another promising type when runner-up on his hurdle debut at Ffos Las. Okavango Delta finished ahead of Half Track at Kelso recently but the latter was ridden more patiently and lost momentum at the last so he may turn out the biggest danger to the selection.

14:15 Sarvi

Off The Hook is interesting on her first run back with Nick Alexander and Deo Bellator is not the only interesting Irish runner, but SARVI gets the nod. She was second off this mark at Musselburgh and stepping back up in distance looks the right move.

14:50 Animore

In a race where not many make much appeal dual winning hurdler African Dance is an interesting newcomer to fences but ANIMORE has already looked an exciting front-runner at this trip and gets the vote. She put in the odd guessy leap here last time but her good jumps significantly outweighed her flawed ones and if cheekpieces don’t unsettle this free-goer then there should be further handicaps to be won with her. Better Getalong is third on the list.

Ayr Races

15:23 Dragonfruit

It’s quite possible that Finawn Bawn will be able to outclass these rivals but two years is a long time to be off, especially as he has managed just six runs since May 2018. There is hope for improvement over fences from She’sasupermack if she can put in a confident round of jumping back over fences but DRAGONFRUIT’s recent Bangor win has worked out well and his narrow winning margin there looked more down to him getting lonely in front than a lack of stamina.

15:53 Carnfunnock

The market can assist when assessing Allanah’s Boy, Cowboy Cooper and Paddock Cottage. The strapping Geordies Dream made a pleasing start at Kelso but has a 7lb penalty to shoulder here. Having finished third of 22 in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the Punchestown Festival, CARNFUNNOCK boasts the strongest form on offer. Stuart Crawford’s runner reappears sporting the two-tone green racing silks of Simon Munir and Isaac Souede.
