12:20 – Whydah Gally

Colin Tizzard has his string in much better shape than last season and WHYDAH GALLY looks interesting following an encouraging return to action at Newton Abbot last month. That was his handicap debut and he left the impression he is on a fair mark, but shaping as though in need of a stiffer test. He gets that here and is entitled to improve further now, so is preferred to My Last Oscar, who was a good winner over course and distance last time.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

12:55 – Timeless Beauty

TIMELESS BEAUTY built on her earlier promise when making a winning handicap debut over hurdles at Ayr in January, but the handicapper overreacted to that success and she wasn’t competitive on her next two starts. She has since left Warren Greatrex and joined an in-form yard, so this winning Irish pointer looks interesting now sent chasing straight away in what looks a weak race. Point-winner Lilith made a low-key start in this sphere at Ffos Las on return but should do better now.

13:30 – Moveit Like Minnie

MOVEIT LIKE MINNIE is a well-related sort who won a couple of above-average bumpers for the time of year at Worcester and Southwell in the summer and looks interesting now tackling hurdles for the first time. Nigel Twiston-Davies is among the winners at present and may have too much for Houka d’Oudairies, who made an encouraging start in this sphere at Huntingdon recently and seems sure to improve now.

14:05 – Fantastikas

This looks an interesting race of its type and it is FANTASTIKAS who is taken to come out on top on chase debut. He showed good progress over hurdles last season, opening his account in a novice at Fontwell and running well to finish third to a couple of well-handicapped sorts at Market Rasen on his final start in March. Fantastikas has plenty about him physically, just the sort that will progress again now chasing, and just gets the vote over Zhiguli, who was a little fortunate to make a winning start over fences over course and distance recently.

14:40 – Mr Jack

MR JACK made an excellent start for this yard last season, winning three of his four starts, and ultimately shaped as though he would strip fitter for his first run for seven months at Plumpton two weeks ago. That came over two miles, and he will be much happier back at this trip, and is fully expected to resume winning ways. Kissesforkatie probably should have won at Wincanton 12 months ago, so is a player if ready to roll on this return to action.

15:15 – Kyntara

Point-winner KYNTARA looked good when powering clear in a Warwick bumper on his Rules debut in February, and given the ones with experience don’t set the bar too high, he is fancied to make a smooth trasition to hurdles on his return. The obvious danger is the Dan Skelton-trained Viva Lavilla who had a subsequent maiden hurdle winner behind in second when winning his sole start in Irish points.
