GOOD EARTH has been in brilliant form this year and can gain a third win under Saffie Osborne here in a reasonably uncompetitive contest. Pink Flamingo is a course and distance winner and she’s dropped to an attractive mark, so has to be respected. Aquadabra looks best of the rest.
George Boughey’s record with two-year-olds this season is astonishing, and he’s got another likely winner here in the form of OSCULA. She shaped very well on debut at Kempton earlier in the month, doing too much in front, and should be able to improve to take this. Pure Charmer has to be respected from another good yard. Greek Philosopher is an interesting newcomer that can’t be ruled out.
Slim pickings in this low-grade sprint, but TAWAAFOQ is versatile with the ground and he’s a course winner. The yard are very capable at getting a tune out of these older handicappers and he can follow up his Chepstow win. Nodsasgoodasawink has run well here in the past and she makes some appeal as a three-year-olds against mainly older rivals. Cobra Eye can’t be ruled out either.
SUMMER’S KNIGHT is a fairly textbook Sir Mark Prescott three-year-old runner having been nursed along as a juvenile and now going up in trip on handicap debut. He has a plethora of entries later in the week which looks like a statement of intent and he has to be taken very seriously. Patroon may come on for his reappearance and take a step forward on handicap debut. Lochanthem isn’t out of it either.
ISPAHAN is lightly raced and has ran with credit in most starts to date. He drops in grade here and should be able to finally get off the mark. Spring Glow won on the all-weather last time and she can’t be ruled out off a 3lbs higher mark. Genesius has to be taken seriously on his first start for Sir Mark Prescott.
YOUR LOVE IS KING improved on his handicap debut last time at Bath, and he could take a further step forward here on just his fifth start. He makes most appeal in an uncompetitive contest. Lady Susie ran well over course and distance last month and she has to be taken seriously. Big Little Lie may settle better in a first-time hood and she could go well on handicap debut.
KYLLINGA ran well over 1m here last time and might be able to gain a first success now with Saffie Osborne taking 5lbs off her back. Lets Go Lucky should go close under a penalty for her Chelmsford win last week. Love Baileys has each-way claims too.
