13:00 Mostaqqer

MOSTAQQER has been in fine form of late, winning or finishing runner-up on his last four starts. The application of cheekpieces has had a positive effect on Mostaqqer and he arrives on the back of a career-best effort over course and distance on Thursday. He bolted up by 5 lengths with plenty in hand. He remains well treated under a 5lbs penalty and will be tough to beat if in similar form.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:30 Sunstrike

There are plenty of newcomers who make appeal on paper in this 6-furlong fillies’ novice, including SUNSTRIKE, a 390,000 guineas purchase as a yearling. Sunstrike is a sister to Dark Liberty and a half-sister to Queen of Love, who both won at Listed level. She is in excellent hands with John and Thady Gosden, so she gets the vote.

14:00 Stormy Night

STORMY NIGHT took advantage of a falling mark when successful over this course and distance last month, posting a dominant all-the-way win. He was unable to follow up under a penalty at Chepstow 10 days later, but he still posted a creditable performance and was a long way clear of the third. He still looks fairly treated under his revised mark and William Buick is a good jockey booking.

14:30 Mo Henry

This is a trappy affair, but MO HENRY shades the vote after posting a creditable effort when runner-up at Ayr on Wednesday. He was no match for Tamaska, a last-time-out winner, but he was a length-and-three-quarters clear of the rest, showing that he is on a competitive mark. He is on a long losing run, but may be capable of snapping the losing sequence.

15:00 Dinoo

DINOO was sent off a big price on debut at Newmarket last season but he showed plenty to work with, finishing runner-up and splitting two talented types. He was set a stiff task on his next outing when upped in grade to contest the Group 3 Solario Stakes at Sandown, and he was too green to do himself justice.

However, he remains with plenty of potential and sets a clear standard on form, so he could be difficult to beat on his first start for the in-form Roger Varian after leaving Richard Hughes.

15:30 Samoot

SAMOOT does not look straightforward, but it has not stopped her from winning with a bit in hand on her last two starts and she can complete the hat-trick here. Samoot was successful over this course and distance last month.

She followed up on her handicap debut at Salisbury three weeks ago, again finishing strongly having been further back than ideal. She clocked a notable closing sectional on that occasion and seemingly has a lot more to offer after only four starts.

16:00 Shuv H’Penny King

SHUV H’PENNY KING disappointed at Newmarket last time, but he pulled too hard on that occasion and is better judged on his previous effort at Lingfield, where he was a close-up third. Shuv H’Penny King had to be dropped in from a wide draw, but he kept on well inside the final furlong and was never nearer than at the finish. He is only 1lb higher than at Lingfield and has the ability to go close off this mark if settling better.
