The NBA regular season is over and we’re all in on the play-in tournament to decide who will secure the final playoff spots.
In the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this week to secure the No. 7 seed as well as a first-round series against the defending champions the Denver Nuggets.
New Orleans now have to face the Sacramento Kings for the No. 8 seed – and a series against the Oklahoma City Thunder – after Mike Brown’s side beat the Golden State Warriors last time out.
We’ve put together a tidy Bet Builder for Friday night’s clash in New Orleans.
Sacramento Kings to Win
Prior to the news that Zion Williamson would miss Friday night’s clash, like our trusty traders at PP towers, we were struggling to pick a winner between the Kings and the Pelicans.
However, it’s a lot clearer now. We’re with the Kings.
Williamson put up 40 points, 11 rebounds and five assists against the Lakers last time out and he’ll be a huge miss for the Pelicans.
Sacramento will be full of confidence after beating the Warriors and we’re taking them to secure the No. 8 seed in the west.
De’Aaron Fox To Score 25+ Points
We’re also focusing on player props with the final spot in the western conference playoffs on the line.
First up, we’re on De’Aaron Fox To Score 25+ Points. The Kings point guard put up 24 points against the Warriors last time out, however, he shot 11-25 from the field including going 2-8 from beyond the arc.
Fox wasn’t needed as much as usual against Golden State, with Steph Curry and Co. failing put up much of a fight in Sacramento.
We’re expecting the 26-year-old to put in a much more efficient performance against the Pelicans. Fox put up 33 points against New Orleans when the sides last faced earlier this month and we fancy him to do something similar on Friday night with their season on the line.
Domantas Sabonis To Record 14+ Rebounds
Fox and Domantas Sabonis have been Sacramento’s stars this season and if they are to secure the No. 8 seed, they’ll both need to show up in New Orleans.
Sabonis led the NBA in rebounding in the regular season with 13.7 boards per game – and we’re expecting him to hit his average in their biggest outing of the campaign.
The 27-year-old should have no problems against the Pelicans’ centre Jonas Valanciunas, who averaged just under nine rebounds per game this time out, and as we mentioned before, New Orleans are without Williamson.
Expect Sabonis to crash the glass to get plenty of second-chance opportunities for Fox and Co.
Domantas Sabonis To Record 8+ Assists
We need Sabonis to pretty much hit his season average in rebounds for the previous Bet Builder selection – and we’re after the same for assists.
Sabonis averaged 8.2 assists per game for the Kings this season and his assist numbers for his last three outings reads: nine, nine and seven.
Whether it’s a pick and roll with Fox or him kicking it out to sharpshooter Keegan Murray, Sabonis will get plenty of chances to hit eight assists.
Keegan Murray 3+ Made Threes
Murray was sensational in the Kings’ win against the Warriors, with the forward putting up 32 points while hitting eight of his 13 three point attempts.
The 23-year-old isn’t afraid to let it fly and he’s attempted 10 or more three pointers in eight of his last 10 games.
Murray has hit three or more three pointers in seven of those last 10 games and we’re expecting that trend to continue.
