So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

15:35 Hamilton – Soldiers Minute (The Sun)

Walking On Clouds is the only one to bring recent winning form to the table and, given his improvement in the last year or so, he can’t be ruled out. However, the two against the field are Khanjar and SOLDIER’S MINUTE. The first-named should be better for his recent York reappearance but slight preference is for the Keith Dalgleish-trained 8yo, who has slipped in the weights and shaped last time as though a return to form is imminent.

16:20 Uttoxeter – Copper Beach (Racing Post)

Surtitle made the most of a winnable opportunity last time and this looks tougher. Rattle Owl should go well in this easier grade, Halligator is back over what’s probably his best trip, and second choice The Plimsoll Line ran a solid latest race behind a prolific front-runner. The one who appeals most is COPPER BEACH who might just be the best handicapped of these if improving for today’s step up in trip. His second run of last season was a big step up from his first.

17:15 Hamilton – Lochnaver (Daily Mail)

Prince Achille and Termonator are closely matched on recent Carlisle form but the pair can be taken on with LOCHNAVER. The 5yo hasn’t shown much this year but she was entitled to need her reappearance run and her only start since probably came too soon after that run. She has a good record at this venue and her yard continues in decent form.

17:50 Chelmsford City – Coastal Sunrise (Daily Record)

The standard set by Mistress Teite isn’t a daunting one and it’s quite possible that one of the newcomers will prove up to the task. That said, both Equiart and COASTAL SUNRISE appeal as types to leave their debut runs well behind and the latter could take a marked step forward today.
