Willie Mullins has plenty of runners in here. Paul Townend has opted for Ashroe Diamond and she is the obvious one and she’s the highest rated. Eabha Grace won last time out at Limerick and the trip should suit her. However, Magical Zoe, Princess Zoe and Halka Du Tabert are the ones. I’m going to go with Halka Du Tabert for Gordon Elliott over the trip.
Parmenion was second to Found A Fifty here a couple of races back and he won at Leopardstown last time out but he might want better ground. Of ours, I’d side with Ho My Lord but Deep Cave jumps out to me. He ran well at Leopardstown in December and the bigger trip didn’t suit in February but he’s back down to 2m4f again and he’ll go well.
Willie has Hunters Yarn and Hercule Du Seuil in here. The latter was pulled up at Fairyhouse in December and he’s more of a summer horse. Hunters Yarn showed a mark of 147 was too high for him at Cheltenham so maybe he’s ahead of Hercule Du Seuil but I’m cautious about him. He would be a really tentative pick.
Dinoblue is going to have to carry top weight but she ran a cracker in the Grand Annual and she’s usually a great jumper. She’s got great form and she should be there or there abouts.
I can see why Paul Townend has picked Appreciate It but I’m with Mighty Potter. Sir Gerhard might be the best horse in the race but he hasn’t shown it so you’ve got to side with Mighty Potter.
Grand Slam Sam and Punch Perfect are running their first races for Willie so it’s hard to predict this one but the former cost €170,000 so they obviously like him!
