Noble Yeats heads the list of 85 entries for the Grand National 2023 at Aintree.
The shock 50/1 winner of last year’s renewal is set to defend his crown on Saturday, April 15 but faces the prospect of carrying plenty more weight after jumping to a rating of 167 in Great Britain.
Gordon Elliott is responsible for 21 Grand National entries including last year’s third Delta Work, eighth Coko Beach and ninth Escaria Ten as well as Grade 1 scorers Conflated and Galvin.
Capodanno and GaillardDuMesnil head Willie Mullins’ list of eight horses holding Grand National entries.
Ted Walsh’s Any Second Now was second in last season’s renewal to add to his third place in 2021 and is contention for another crack at the £1,000,000 contest.
Fiddlerontheroof and Longhouse Poet, fifth and sixth in 2022, also feature on the entry list.
Other horses towards the top of Paddy Power’s antepost Grand National betting market such as Classic Chase scorer Iwilldoit and last season’s Ultima hero Corach Rambler are also in the mix.
The Grand National 2023 weights are set to be published on Tuesday, February 21.
