While it may not have been the strongest of contests, there was plenty to like about how ELMOUNT went about his task last time and he is taken to defy a 5lb rise. Should the latest headgear do the trick, Horizon D’Ainay could be his main danger, while Eros should again be thereabouts. Support for either Upagainstit or Braveheart would be interesting.

Galahad Threepwood is a big player after his recent win but SWINGING LONDON has been steadily working his way back to form after a draining sixth at Cheltenham last March seemed to bottom him. Mount Tempest could easily return to form in his first 2m handicap and I Hope Star likewise has some potential for handicaps.

Good Work looks solid to go well again but ART OF ILLUSION has hopes of finding a bit extra yet over this trip and has been given more of a break this time than when fading over 3m5f in February. Danilo D’Airy would be very interesting on his efforts last winter now down in grade but it’s hard to know whether he can muster that form at present. Eceparti is also considered.

16:35 – Fame And Concrete

First-time cheekpieces are a possible source of improvement for both FAME AND CONCRETE and Glance From Clover, who head the shortlist in that order of preference. The selection remains unexposed in handicaps and should be suited by the return to forecast slow ground, while the second choice has slipped to a favourable mark. Handicap debutant Moodofthemoment is third choice, ahead of Getupearly.

17:10 – Fancy Stuff

She carries joint top weight but FANCY STUFF (nap) may have got in a shade lightly for her handicap debut and she is taken to improve again for this longer trip. If she can shrug off her latest effort, Heva Rose may be the one to give the selection the most to do, now stepping up in trip. Sweet Magic and Lady Valentine are others of interest.
