None of the possible permutations would be a total surprise. Slight preference is for IMMUTABLE the only winner in the field. There is not much to choose between Tea Olive and Vampire Slayer on Leopardstown running.

14:15 – Cnodian

Billy Lee, who was on the beaten favourite win the race in which CNODIAN was second here on Sunday, now takes over with good prospects on the Willie McCreery-trained filly. Lee would also have been in line to ride Inventor for Gillian Scott, so his choice is significant. He is also familiar with Swift Flight who has gone up 5lb for a recent second over 5f. Nordic Passage boasts useful course form and could go well if fully primed after a break.

14:50 – River Rain

A modest maiden for the venue and seemingly the best opportunity yet for RIVER RAIN. Champagne looks next best.

15:25 – Derry Lad

This couldn’t be much more competitive. The tentative vote goes to DERRY LAD who has been knocking on the door since his win earlier in the campaign and he was an eyecatcher when runner-up last week. Last time out winners Speckled Meadow and King Arthurs Sword ought to go well again while Newgirlintown will relish a step back up in trip.

16:00 – Secret Secret

There could be more to come from SECRET SECRET who was having only his second start for his new trainer when bolting up over this trip on heavy ground at Navan last week. Tronador, Barometer, and Unanswered look the pick of the opposition on summer form and capable of featuring if showing their best on this ground. Kashi is of interest on his hurdles form.

It was a career best from SOILSE when runner-up from out of the handicap in a competitive event at Leopardstown on Saturday and she could be hard to beat from this sort of mark. Born Invincible ought to go well back up in trip and The Cola Brasil should remain competitive from his revised rating.

17:10 – Darkened

Despite having to concede weight to a higher-rated hurdler in Global Equity, it could pay to side with DARKENED, whose fitness is assured from a recent Flat campaign. Rebel Early would have a definite chance on her best hurdles form but was an also-ran in this race last year on her return to action and could need this.
