Fancy a free shot at £30k?

13:50 – Warren Point

ITV racing Thursday starts here with a handicap over 1m2f. A load of improvers here. WARREN POINT looked like a horse who was totally unsuited to a small field and 1m4f when beaten by a stable companion last time and might be a different horse here. Prior to that Ascot defeat the son of Dubawi scored well at Newmarket and Doncaster.

14:25 –  Royal Scotsman

Group 2 company now with the Richmond Stakes over 6f for juveniles. Hard to get away from ROYAL SCOTSMAN for Paul & Oliver Cole and the Hay family who often take a box at this meeting. The selection has winning track experience and improved when third behind Bradsell in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

15:00 – Deauville Legend

Possible St Leger contenders on show in the Group 3 Gordon Stakes for three-year-olds over 1m4f. DEAUVILLE LEGEND travels like a machine and stays well so I’ll risk him eachway for James Ferguson and Danny Muscutt. My selection did well to land the Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket last time and while he has a bit to find with some of these I doubt he will be disgraced if acting on the track.

15:35 – Nashwa

The feature of the day in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes for fillies’ and mares’ over 1m2f. Impossible to oppose NASHWA even if the three-year-old Classic fillies have something to prove. John and Thady Gosden’s Oaks third was brilliant in the French equivalent and really should be good enough to dispose of these under Hollie Doyle.

16:10 – True Statesman

A nursery handicap for juveniles over 7f. A wide open event hard to predict. TRUE STATESMAN bolted in at Chester last time and while he has to hump 9st 9lb he should be hard to stop for Charlie and Mark Johnston and Ryan Moore. Stall seven could be better but has to have strong claims.

16:45 – Navello

A handicap over 5f. NAVELLO might have an eachway chance for George Boughey and William Buick. Although beaten the last twice at Newmarket and Chester he’s not been totally disgraced and form at Brighton and Chester suggests this track will be fine.
