Coco Jack shaped well after a sluggish start on his debut and could make significant improvement but slight preference is for KIND SPIRIT who should be suited by today’s longer distance and can turn the tables on Sprezzatura who finished just ahead of him here last time. Castan and Penalty Charge appeal most of the newcomers.
The market may prove informative here but the clear pick on form is PARISIAC, and if he runs to the level of his fourth in a Listed race last autumn he should take some beating. Alfred Cove showed a bit on his debut two weeks ago and appeals most for the forecast.
Plenty of these can be given a chance, including the thriving 3yo I’m A Gambler and Strike Red whose only previous visit here resulted in a win. Air Raid is something of a Hamilton specialist and may prove the main danger to last year’s runner-up RATHBONE who arrives in top form and can go one better 12 months on.
The three runners representing new stables should be monitored in the market, with Silver Dust the most appealing on paper, having joined Gillian Boanas. Poet’s Dawn is tempting from a plunging mark with David Allan back on board, but the solid contender is HAVANA PARTY who bumped into an improver here last week and can run off the same mark.
Most of these are fully exposed but a notable exception is AIGHEAR who shaped well on her only start in bumpers and moves up sharply in trip for her handicap debut after three runs in maidens. She could be open to plenty of improvement. Haven Lady is the pick of the established handicappers, ahead of Ghostly.
Several of these have some good C&D runs to their name this season, with Kats Bob, Kilconquhar and Glorious Rio (second choice) featuring amongst them. Classy Al still has some potential on a sound surface and is considered but ROSE BANDIT had a tough task here last time and may prove best of her stable’s three runners.

The unbeaten Savvy Knight commands respect but conceding 11lb to PUNTASTIC (nap) may prove to be a tough assignment. The selection’s reappearance form has been boosted and he can take another step forward after a break. The pick of the other three, all wearing cheekpieces for the first time, could be Madame Ambassador.
