17:00 – Collective Power
A cracking 5f handicap to kick things off. Collective Power, trained by Edward Lynam, he’s run into two very decent sorts. Nothing of that calibre is in this race tonight. I think Collective Power, with Scott McCullagh taking off 5lbs, should take a bit of beating.

17:30 – Dances With Stars
We’re going to see a lot of pace on here and it’s really going to suit my selection, Dances With Stars. He travels really well and loves a strong pace. He’s going to get that and it’s really going to play to his strengths. He’s won twice at the track and he’s going to make that three later.
18:00 – Kartayaz
This is a really competitive 10f handicap. You can make a case for any of them. However, the one I’m looking at most is one of John McConnell’s runners, Kartayaz. A winner here on her last start, that run has worked out very well. She won from a very wide draw and this lower draw tonight will suit her very well.
18:30 – Patrick Street
Quite a competitive three-year-old handicap. Only the seven runners but you can go through most of the runners and make a case. The one that I like most is the top weight, Patrick Street. Trained by Patrick Martin this was a ready winner last time and finished strongly over 7f. The very good apprentice Jack Kearney claims 7lbs to negate the 7lb penalty he got for winning last time. He’ll be very hard to beat.
19:00 – Giuseppe Cassioli
An ultra-competitive race. Giuseppe Cassioli is unexposed and had his first run in Ireland after having some good UK form. I thought he did extremely well to win here recently. He was drawn wide, tracked wide throughout and still won readily at the line. The extra furlong should suit and he is the one to beat.

19:30 – Prisoners Dilemma
A couple of these ran here on Wednesday night. The one that I like most has only had one run at the distance, Prisoners Dilemma. Trained by Johnny Levins, he’s a horse that travels really well over 7f. I put a line through his last run, he was tracked out too wide and never got any cover. Interesting to see him down in distance tonight. I think he’s value against the field.
20:00 – Inductive
The one that’s most interesting, for me, is Inductivewho won a couple of times in the UK and he’s shown little of note in Ireland for new connections. He’s been beaten on a couple of occasions but with blinkers back on, he ran really well in a higher grade contest, last time out. He’s got a really good draw and he’s going to be a bit of value in a wide-open race.
20:30 – Eskimo Komet (NAP)
This is the only maiden of the night. The one with a standout run here is Eskimo Komet. Had a very, very good debut run on the track back in November. We haven’t seen it on the track since then but, all things being equal, if he strips fit and is ready to go, he should be hard to beat tonight.
