17:11 – Grimbsy Town
Murau has decent claims, especially at a course that should suit, but the one that appeals most is GRIMSBY TOWN. The 3yo showed more than enough on his debut (for Joseph O’Brien) at Dundalk to suggest he has claims for his new trainer, especially over this longer trip.

17:45 – Phantasy Mac
Sweetest Company, Mister Falsetto and Foreshadow all have claims but this can go to PHANTASY MAC (nap), who has shown ability over 7f. George Boughey’s 3yo should be suited by this longer trip and the switch to handicaps and she is open to improvement.
18:15 – Buniann
A competitive handicap in which it is worth giving another chance to BUNIANN, who was not at his best at Southwell last time. However, all his victories have been over this C&D and he is taken to beat recent winner Be Proud back at this venue. Patsy Fagan is another with prospects, despite dropping to 5f for only the third time.

18:45 – Hello Power
Storm Asset has an advantage over the majority given he knows how to win but, although he should go very close at least, a chance at bigger odds is taken with HELLO POWER. Richard Fahey’s runner has a bit of ground to make up with the aforementioned on a fairly recent Wolverhampton run but she didn’t really get the run of things that day and she is worth another chance back at this venue. Not many of the others make much appeal.
19:15 – Atrafan
A few of these have prospects but it could be worth siding with ATRAFAN, who has a fine record over this C&D and he should be suited by the return to this venue. Million Reasons is on a roll and should be thereabouts while, at bigger odds, Gleaming Maize makes a bit of appeal.

19:45 – Fortamour
A reasonable contest and one that should be run at a sound gallop. This could play to the strengths of FORTAMOUR and Ballyare, with narrow preference for the former, who goes well fresh and who has a respectable record at this venue. Nigel Nott is a reliable yardstick who should continue to give a good account.
