Each and every day of the racing calendar we bring you a punt-packed NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the picks you’ll require for that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that great guide to work for us, so we’re going to use it to point you in the direction what could be a smart Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
The prolific MINELLA TRUMP epitomises the fantastic season Donald McCain is enjoying, and the 7yo is taken to land the seven-timer. He won’t have it all his own way under a 10lb penalty, however, if the useful hurdler Ask Paddington takes to fences at the first attempt.
With the Skelton yard in such good form, the reappearing Flegmatik looks a strong contender, but slight preference is for SMARTY WILD who can build on an encouraging seasonal debut at Newbury. Guy finished just in front of Red Risk at Market Rasen last month and appeals most of the remainder.
Offyoupop should leave behind his bumper effort while Irish point winner Iceburgh Bay is an interesting newcomer to hurdling. They look the main threats to YOUNG BUTLER, who ran well enough over C&D last month to earn the vote.
Wayne Lordan is on board DOCTOR PATRICK for trainer Luke Comer and he was a real eye-catcher on his last start at Dundalk. Comer had a winner at Dundalk on Wednesday night and his horses have been running brilliantly in the last few weeks. Dr Patrick could add to that tally for them.
