13:00 Sweet Melody

Marco Botti’s charge SWEET MELODY is evidently felt capable of better than she showed on her debut at Lincoln last month and is one you should consider.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:30 Cotai Class

Prodigious Blue could take a step forward now fitted with cheekpieces and it would also come as no surprise to see Bell Shot build on his Windsor fourth after a break. Richard Fahey’s newcomer Fourth Time Lucky is another to consider, especially if the market speaks in his favour. But, COTAI CLASS rates the most solid option after his fine Ayr nursery second and he gets the verdict.

14:05 Liberated Light

Baileys Accolade shaped with promise behind an impressive rival at York on her debut last month and should be more streetwise this time. She’s respected for a top yard, but there are some interesting newcomers in opposition including Macchiavello and LIBERATED LIGHT.

The former has a striking pedigree and his sales price shot up to £300,000 in May, but slight preference is for Liberated Light who is a half-brother to two very useful winners and represents a stable that won this in 2018 and 2020.

14:40 Arctic Fox

This may well be the right opportunity for ARCTIC FOX (NAP) to break her losing run. She looks the most dependable proposition in this field. Thai Terrier and Glasses Up have also proved their stamina.

15:15 Divine Jewel

This can go to DIVINE JEWEL who ran so promisingly on her debut at Nottingham, although Oheka and the penalised Ammolite have plenty of potential themselves. World Without Love has an eye-catching pedigree, but longer trips are likely to be her best option in the future.

15:50 Enderman

Bronze River really caught the eye on his debut for Mick Appleby at Newcastle and seems sure to go well off a handy mark, while Ginato and Stallone also present very good credentials. The returning Otto Oyl and handicap debutante Balqaa are two others who figure high on the shortlist.

However, the vote goes to course winner ENDERMAN, who didn’t enjoy the rub of the green when fourth over 6 furlongs at Leicester and will find conditions very much in his favour here.

16:25 Cape Sunset

Preference is for the well-bred four-year-old CAPE SUNSET, who showed plenty of promise with his debut third in a big field at Windsor in May and sets the standard on his reappearance. The main danger is Bakr, who left her initial form a long way behind when scoring at Kempton in January and is open to more progress on her return for another new yard.

16:55 Bad Rabbit

It’s hard to make a case for an easy 1m 2f being optimal for a number of these, while Mac Ailey and Das Kapital could have done without the drying conditions. One To Go and Dandy’s Angel are more likely than not to hinder their chances at the stalls and a flier is taken on BAD RABBIT, who started favourite for this race off a higher mark last October having been second over course and distance earlier that month – an effort that also came fresh.
