12:30 Dubai Jewel
The form standard is set by Mojomaker, who ran well behind a debutant at Goodwood last Friday. However, he may again have to play second fiddle to a newcomer, with DUBAI JEWEL looking a likely type. The Andrew Balding-trained filly will be all the more interesting if the market speaks favourably. Potential improver Jastar is another to consider.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:00 Incumbent
There are some appealing types among the newcomers, notably INCUMBENT and Bold And Loyal in that order of preference. Second-time starters Gangway and Open Mind are open to improvement.
13:35 Let’s Fly Again
This has a similar shape to the first division. Again preference is for a Clive Cox-trained newcomer, namely LET’S FLY AGAIN who cost six figures as a yearling and is attractively bred. Native Trail and Implore are other very interesting debutants, in that order of preference. Royal Patronage and Mount Snowdon could easily leave their 6f debut efforts behind.
14:10 Mutaraafeq
Preference is for handicap/seasonal debutant MUTARAAFEQ, who looks well treated on the form of his final 2yo effort. He’ll be all the more interesting if the market speaks in his favour. Second choice is the in-form maiden Dashing Dick, who holds every chance off an unchanged mark. The Whipmaster and Shuv H’Penny King have possibilities if coping with the drop back to 7f.
14:45 Hoodwinker
Preference is for HOODWINKER, who made a bold bid to finish a close second on her handicap/seasonal debut at Haydock and is open to more progress on this switch to quicker ground. Celestial Queen is feared most, though Achelois knuckled down well to win a Newbury novice last month and looks interesting back in a handicap at this new trip. Sayifyouwill is much more exposed than all of her rivals but she went close at Chelmsford last week and is respected off the same mark here.

15:20 You’re Hired
Topweight YOU’RE HIRED has a tough mark to contend with but his excellent record when fresh goes a long way to counterbalancing that concern and he has lots of form in much better races than this. Mostawaa was in good form before blowing all hope at the start last week at Epsom and he’s second choice, while Russian Virtue and Leroy Leroy are others to consider.
15:55 Moktasaab (NAP)
Secret Box can improve for this step up in trip and is narrowly preferred to Nell Quickly who also brings potential to this turf/handicap debut. However, they may have to fight it out for minor honours, with preference for MOKTASAAB (nap) whose Newcastle form last time out has been boosted.
16:30 Lawmans Blis
Gyenyame has a major shout based on the form he showed over this trip at Bath on last Friday’s reappearance, as does Beat The Storm based on his performance yesterday. However, they may still prove vulnerable to improvement among their rivals, with LAWMANS BLIS preferred to Ballantruan and Forever William.
