Michael Masi admits ‘F1’s boring anyway’ after race director axe

He's not bothered... honestly

Having been sacked from his role as F1 Race Director, Michael Masi has decided to shed a few home truths on the sport he served from 2019-2021, referring to it as “boring as f*ck” and “not a real sport”.

Despite an FIA restructure leading to a new “safety” role on the table for the Australian official, Masi took to Facebook earlier today to announce that the damage has been done and he is seeking a new challenge.

Michael Masi posted 2 hours ago:

“Certain people seem to be really angry at me, but for f*ck’s sake, it’s just cars going round in circles at the end of the day. Get over it.

“This is the most interesting thing to ever happen in F1! They should be thanking me, not sacking me.

“It has created a whirlwind of press coverage and brought a fresh new audience to this deadass sport, if that’s what it even is? A sport. How driving a car can be classed as a sport is a joke in its own right.

“Anyway, I’m going to take some time to think about my next move. I might find something equally as dull as F1 and cause chaos there too, just for the LOLs – does anybody have the number of President of the World Curling Federation?
“I think it could be a laugh to see what sh*t I can cause in the wonderfully dull world of curling.

“Maybe one team could do the sweeping with a regulation-sized broom and the other could do it with a toothbrush?”

“Just brain-storming here – I’ve got thousands of great ideas.”

Upon hearing news of Masi’s departure, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, who has refused to officially comment on the matter, could be heard from the seventeenth floor of the east wing of his Geneva palace, screaming “I am a real sportsman, I am a real sportsman, F1 is a real sport.”

Meanwhile, Netflix are said to be keen to take on Masi to develop more shows after he successfully scripted a thrilling finish to their Formula 1: Drive to Survive docu-series.

“He’s a real natural,” a source said. “No one could’ve dreamt up that season ending and thought they’d get away with it but Michael.”
