Rather than our usual style of Bet Builder, we’re looking at the cards market instead for Nottingham Forest v Leeds on Sunday afternoon. Our go-to choices of Ryan Yates and Robin Koch are both yellow card magnets but they’re out through illness and suspension respectively.
Our first pick is Forest centre-half Joe Worrall, who has already been booked five times – a team high – this season. He averages over a foul a game and he also makes just under two tackles a match, so he really doesn’t mind getting stuck in.
Worrall will come into contact with Brendan Aaronson, Wilfried Gnonto, Jack Harrison and either Patrick Bamford or Leeds’ new forward Georginio Rutter on Sunday. They’re all tricky and they’ll be a handful for Worrall, while Bamford enjoys a physical battle if he starts up top.
The only worry is if Worrall is named on the bench and Steve Cooper starts another centre-half. If that’s the case, swap Worrall for Scott McKenna as the Scotland international already has four bookings this season.
Next up is Leeds’ Tyler Adams, who is a tackle and foul machine. The USA international’s stat line for tackles in his last four games reads: Six, two, seven and four.
The defensive midfielder’s job is to get around the middle of the park and disrupt the opposition – and he does it well.
In those four games mentioned he made six fouls and in his two matches prior to that he had eight fouls over two games.
Adams averages just under two fouls per game and with the Forest crowd likely to be up for their showdown with Leeds, it could get feisty out there.
