Snooker Tips: Our trader’s fab four in Saturday’s Championship League action

Paddy trader James Dolphin takes us through today's baize best bets

Stuart Bingham is the big name in action today and he looks set to take Group 1 and progress. Group 8 is a lot closer with Jimmy Robertson, Ben Woollaston and Liam Highfield all pretty well matched in what looks set to be an intriguing set of clashes today.

Bingham to win Group 1

Bingham’s been quite inconsistent this season. He won the Masters but he was also knocked out in the first round five times in ranking tournaments so it could go either way. He’s one of the few players with a table at his house and he’s been on social media letting everyone know that he’s been practising hard so that could give him the edge in this Group.

Brown to beat Walden

Jordan Brown looks like he could be the dark horse in this group. He’s had a good season so far, so I fancy him against Ricky Walden. He’ll have a shout against Jamie Clark but Brown to beat Walden is my tip here.

Robertson to win Group 8

Group 8 is a tough one to call. Jimmy Robertson had a slowish start to the season, but he’s had a couple of deep runs in ranking events recently, so he’s the form pick and I fancy Robertson to win the group.

Highfield to beat Woollaston

There’s not much between Ben Woollaston and Liam Highfield in terms of ability but the latter’s been scoring pretty well this season so I fancy Highfield to triumph.
