British and Irish Lions 7/2 outsiders to capture New Zealand series

The mighty All-Blacks seem to hold all the cards ahead of the three-test extravaganza

Following today’s British & Irish Lions squad announcement Paddy Power have installed New Zealand as the overwhelming 1/5 favourites to win the series in the summer.

Warren Gatland’s men are 7/2 to win their second series in-a-row with an unlikely draw available at a whopping 25/1.

The 41-man touring party was named today and there was a few shocks to say the least, but question remains can they humble New Zealand?

Not if the markets are to be believed it seems…

Why not ‘try’ some great odds on the Lions tour at

The likes of England captain Dylan Hartley, lock Joe Launchbury and Ireland’s Donnacha Ryan have all been left out of the initial squad. Meanwhile, the whole of Scottish rugby is up-in-arm as the country only has two representatives on the panel.

The Lions have only beaten the All-Blacks once in 11 attempts, that coming all the way back in 1971 and New Zealand come in as big 10/11 favourites to land a 3-0 series whitewash.

Elsewhere, our traders don’t fancy the Lions to leave New Zealand unscratched, making it a massive 150/1 for them to win all 10 tour games.
