NFL Tips: Ravens & Colts can carry our trader’s Week 16 double

There's a lot on the line in Week 16

Two more weeks to go in the regular season, and it’s all to play for as we reach crunch time. Week 15 threw up a couple of real shocks.

The Jets won their first game of the season, beating the Rams in an absolute stunner, it may cost the Jets dear, however, as the Jaguars have leapfrogged them for the #1 overall pick in next year’s draft, and with it the right to draft Clemson’s standout QB, Trevor Lawrence.

The Bengals also pulled off a huge surprise, beating Pittsburgh who are in freefall as the playoffs approach.

Every week, our NFL trader, Ian Dent, gives us his best bets of the week.

Week 16 Trader Double: Colts -1.5 & Ravens -10.5

“Firstly, I think Baltimore can cover a big line at home to the Giants. The Ravens will have to keep winning to keep their playoff hopes alive. They have been quite impressive lately, Lamar Jackson is passing and running the ball well again.

“They’ve solidified their running game around JK Dobbins and Gus Edwards and they seem to be rolling on offence. Their D is always impressive, and with Daniel Jones struggling to make this game, I think they will cover the handicap.

“For the second leg, I like the Colts -1.5 heading into Pittsburgh. Philip Rivers has the Colts clicking on offence, the receivers are coming into form and Jonathan Taylor is finishing his rookie campaign off superbly.

“The Steelers are trending in the other direction. They have lost some key players on defence like Bud Dupree and Devin Bush. Pittsburgh’s running game has collapsed and Ben Roethlisberger has struggled to get the ball downfield as a result. I expect the Colts run to the playoffs to continue here.”

Every week Ian gives us his best Bet Builder acac for the late game on Sky. This week sees a key NFC west clash as the LA Rams head into Seattle to take on the Seahawks.

Bet Builder: Seahawks -1.5, Total points Under 47.5 & Jared Goff passing yards under

“This is a crucial game and there’s not much between the two teams. But the Rams are coming off a horrible loss to the Jets, and they have been inconsistent. The Seahawks have got that magic with Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf and I think they will cover the 1.5 handicap line.

“The Rams D is elite and I can see them helping to keep the points total under. The Seahawks D has been improving lately too, Carlos Dunlap and Jamal Adams have been excellent additions, and I think they will keep LA’s erratic QB, Jared Goff, in check meaning his passing yards total come in under.”

Monday night football sees the Buffalo Bills take on the New England Patriots in an AFC East clash.

Monday Night Football: Bills -7 & Cole Beasley anytime and first TD scorer

“I was very impressed with Buffalo at Denver last week. They are playing so well on both sides of the ball and Josh Allen was outstanding. I can see him being in the MVP picture for years to come if he continues to play like this.

“Buffalo have finally deposed the Patriots as champions in this division and I think they can cover the line here.

“In the touchdown markets, I think there’s value in Buffalo’s WR, Cole Beasley. He is a slot receiver who has gone under the radar this season, but he is very impressive and has managed a few TDs already this season as well as a lot of yardage.”
