Wide-margin Navan winner RIVER TIBER is the selected of the Ballydoyle pair and can be fancied to make it two from two. Newcomer I Am Invictus is interesting and might join in the battle for second with Tourist and Democracy.
14:15 – Mooneista
Sold for 850,000gns at the end of last year, MOONEISTA can begin to recoup connections’ outlay here on her first start for Joseph O’Brien. Well treated by the race conditions and with trip/ground in her favour, she gets the vote in a very strong Listed contest. Dangers are headed by Ladies Church, Tees Spirit and the in-form Moss Tucker.
14:45 – Ribchestina
A debut C&D winner for Sheila Lavery, RIBCHESTINA is an interesting acquisition for the trainer of the runner-up in that event. She is just preferred to Ziggy’s Dream who did not get the run of the race at Chester when second to a filly in the same colours. Bated Moon accounted for a couple of these rivals at Cork. Making Time looked quite promising when taking on colts first time out.
15:15 – New Energy
It could pay to forgive the Classic-placed NEW ENERGY (nap) for his failure to shine in testing conditions on his seasonal debut. Likely dangers are Mutasarref who was on a roll between June and August last year, and Lord Massusus, progressive this season.

15:45 – The Antarctic
With a low draw and on different ground and terms THE ANTARCTIC, the highest-rated of these as a juvenile, is tipped to reverse Navan form with Ocean Quest. Shartash needs to find his form after a poor display in the same Navan event. Mauiewowie should be able to make her presence felt again after an encouraging seasonal debut at Cork.
16:15 – Unless
Although she has had plenty of chances, it may pay to stick with UNLESS, although the much less exposed Persian Jewel could prove a live threat. Lan Cinnte looks next best, while Joseph O’Brien’s debutante Rival Queen is worth a look.
16:45 – National Emblem
Broadhurst could prove to be a stakes performer in time and demands plenty of respect on handicap debut but preference is for NATIONAL EMBLEM, whose maiden win has worked out really well and has his ground. Several likely dangers though, including the well-regarded Fort Vega, along with Mere Accountant and Kalikapour.
17:15 – Facethepuckout
Very open and a tentative selection is FACETHEPUCKOUT with Colin Keane taking over. Others to consider include Blues Emperor and Red Heel, while a return to form on this better ground for Comfort Line would be no surprise.
