Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumperNAPs Tableto give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Trac is a solid contender having run well the last twice but this could go to JIMMY RABBITTE now he’s back on better ground. His trainer Stuart Coltherd is in good form, and the same can be said of Joanne Foster whose two-time course winner Da Vinci Hand is also respected. Follow Your Arrow is another who could go well.
The hurdle winners Heezer Geezer and Well Dick have a Cheltenham Grade 1 entry and the latter is narrowly preferred of the two, having proved his stamina. He’s partnered by the 7lb claimer Bradley Roberts who has an excellent strike-rate (6-15, with five seconds) over hurdles this season for trainer Charlie Longsdon. However, giving 7lb away may prove tricky against INCH HOUSE, who’s looked a promising stayer in the making. The Newest One enters the picture on his chase form.
Point runner-up ROLLING CLOUDS could leave his hurdle form well behind now switched to fences off a lowly mark on his handicap debut, and he’s the selection ahead of Moore Clouds who has been runner-up on her two chase starts. North Parade is next on the list.
Sundayinmay and Star From Afarhh ran well over C&D on their latest start and have claims, while Mafia Power (second choice) is eased slightly in grade and can fare better today. FORGE VALLEY LAD hasn’t caught fire this winter as yet but he’s down in class today and he was on the up in the first half of 2022. This could be his chance to resume that progress.
