The Milton Harris-trained HIGHLAND FROLIC is taken to get off the mark over hurdles at the third attempt, having been a good third at Kempton last time. Casi Crudo has continued in good form since winning at Market Rasen last month and is second choice under a penalty, ahead of fellow previous hurdle winners Artistic Choice and Tying The Knot.

14:00 – Euchan Falls
The vote goes to low-mileage 6yo EUCHAN FALLS, who pulled a long way clear of the others when second to a well-backed and unexposed rival at Ayr this month. Blue Shark has done very well since upped to this sort of trip and is a likely danger as he attempts to complete a four-timer. Samatian, Having A Barney and handicap debutant Hokelami are others for the shortlist.
14:35 – No Risk Des Flos
Having made it 3-3 at Wetherby when impressive here in November, NO RISK DES FLOS earns the vote in the hope he can bounce back from his disappointing run here over Christmas. Iron Bridge remains an interesting prospect and is feared most ahead of the consistent Ubetya and last month’s C&D winner The Paddy Pie.
15:10 – Etalon
This could be a very good opportunity for ETALON to get off the mark. He has finished runner-up in both his starts over hurdles and should be going one better sooner rather than later. Hurdling newcomer Big Ambitions showed promise in a C&D bumper last month and may be the chief threat, with the debutant Ranging Bear and the useful bumper mare Miss Lamb others to consider.
15:40 – Swincombe Fleat
Lincoln Lyn looked the likely winner from a long way out before asserting at Fakenham four weeks ago and is arguably the one with least to prove but another chance is given to SWINCOMBE FLEAT, who made a bright start to her chasing career in the autumn and certainly didn’t run badly before being pulled up over a marathon trip last month. Midnight Mary ran very well over hurdles on her stable debut and will be dangerous if she jumps soundly on today’s chasing debut.

3m point winner THE GOONER (nap) should be an improver now he’s up in trip on his handicap debut and he’s the selection ahead of Rockmann, who could also be suited by the step up in distance. The Imposter has been progressive this season and is next on the list, ahead of Moonacura.
