Kim Wexler looks sure to go well again and Murbih was in peak form when winning over C&D this month, but GANNON GLORY makes his debut for a yard that has made a terrific start to the year and he showed how well he can go when fresh when winning on his reappearance last year. It’s possible So Grateful has just lost his edge for now but he is also part of the puzzle on his best course form.

Chelsea Banham’s MUNIFICENT did well to score at Wolverhampton last time given he went very freely so is taken to defy a 2lb rise in the weights at the chief expense of last year’s winner Bernard Spierpoint. In-form duo Primo and The Tron complete the shortlist in an open handicap.
18:00 Colors Of Freedom (NAP)
Ladywantaway took a step forward when making a successful return to 5f at Newcastle but her heavy defeat on her sole course start looms large and preference is for COLORS OF FREEDOM (nap), who followed a dynamic late burst to win over 6f with a narrow but convincing win over C&D. Furnicoe is dependable but may have to accept another supporting role.

18:30 Blow Your Horn
Haku is the obvious starting point in his bid for a four-timer but he faces some stiff competition in this Class 4, headed by BLOW YOUR HORN. The selection caught the eye behind a couple of nice types on his second start for Ian Williams last week and can race off 2lb lower in this. Vega Sicilia likely has more to offer but Thunder Ahead is nominated as the main danger.
19:00 Berkshire Breeze
Femme Patronne, Now Then Wendy and Deadlock (second choice) all bring some potential to this novice but BERKSHIRE BREEZE sets the bar high on his fairly useful summer handicap form and is taken to make light of his absence on his Tapeta debut with his yard going well.

This looks quite competitive for a nine-runner event. The hat-trick seeking Walking On Clouds (second choice) should make a bold bid despite the handicapper’s advances, while Buraback, Grey Belle and Ravenswing also have something to recommend them. Class-dropping BIPLANE could do with them going hard early but that’s quite possible and she still looks feasibly weighted under suitable conditions.

As with the first division there are a host of viable contenders. Bond Boy and Crocodile Power (second choice) are greatly respected, while Abnaa, Surprise Picture and Homer Stokes are lurking on dangerous marks. MARTIN’S BRIG has taken very well to the Tapeta here this winter though and he may be able to complete a C&D hat-trick

A few with chances. Flyingdale seems sure to have a say under a 5lb penalty if in the same form as when going in at Newcastle last time, while Bluebird is weighted to go well back in handicap company. In-form duo Tathmeen and Final Account need factoring in too but CATHERINE CHROI is thriving under the tutelage of Iain Jardine and can make light of a 3lb rise in the weights to record a third success for her new yard.
