OLD PAINLESS is a winning Irish pointer who has shown promise on all his three runs over hurdles, third of six in 2m4f Market Rasen novice 19 days ago. He’s not without interest now sent chasing.

15:55 Southwell – Lord Paramount (The Brigadier)

LORD PARAMOUNT didn’t have to match his 6f form to win a 7f novice at Wolverhampton two weeks ago. Unexposed at the trip and certainly not overburdened for this handicap debut. He was forecast to be a very warm favourite on Saturday’s Chelmsford card when that fell foul of the weather.

17:00 Southwell – Solar Prophet (Moorestyle)
