The Johnston-trained HADRIANUS massively exceeded market expectations to take second at Newcastle over this trip on his debut five weeks ago. That’s the most persuasive racecourse evidence and he looks sure to improve, including because he is a June foal. The newcomers Fox Vision and Calmly are feared most, preferred in that order.
18:15 – Silky Smooth
Blue Curacao (second choice) ran a promising race on her nursery debut ten days ago and she is high on the list, while Ready Reckoner, Little Roman and Speziato have also offered hope of better in their brief handicap careers. The Angelus Belle and Tollerton Forest look likely improvers now upped in trip for their nursery debuts but SILKY SMOOTH gets the nod. Yes, he has the widest stall to overcome but he left the impression at Wolverhampton 17 days ago that there could be a bigger performance around the corner.
18:45 – Alice Knyvet
There are some very interesting newcomers on show in this maiden with Sapphire Seas, Free Lovin’, Twirling and Albany all making plenty of paper appeal. ALICE KNYVET left the impression she could take a huge step forward when fourth over 7f here on her debut though and she can put that experience to good use.
19:15 – Court Of Session
Unforgotten and Noble Order (second choice) bring untapped potential and the latter is surely a bit better than he showed when third behind Top Secret here four weeks ago. Aguaplano can go well too but COURT OF SESSION (nap) ran into a very interesting rival at Wolverhampton last time and he can resume winning ways in this field.
19:45 – Tyger Bay
Aramis Grey comes here on the up and should get sufficient pace to aim at here to show her true colours. She is high on the list, while the ex-French Haziym needs a market check, but it may pay to stick with TYGER BAY. He got up late to beat Total Commitment at Lingfield last week and might be up to defying a penalty back at a track he runs so well.

Rooful will be popular in her hat-trick bid but she’s up in the weights and has a bit more on her plate today. Paddy K, Dashing Rat (second choice) and SENSE OF SECURITY are a combined 0-46 but all of them look capable of winning races and the step back up in trip can see George Baker’s filly make the breakthrough.
