16:57 – Under the Twilight
Several with claims in an open race and C&D winner UNDER THE TWILIGHT is only narrowly preferred with the chance of finding some more in only her third 7f handicap. Mistrix may be the main danger although there are cases to be made for others, including Above It All and Op It, who lacks a recent run but still has potential now back on the AW.
17:30 – Due Date
The bar set by those to have run isn’t a high one and two fascinating newcomers line up anyhow. Berkshire Cruz, brother to Nunthorpe winner Margot Did, is respected but DUE DATE is taken to follow in the footsteps of his brother Diligent Harry and half-brother Harry Three by winning first time out on AW (latter did so in this contest in 2021).
18:00 – Bridge
Hello Deira is the pick among those who have shown their hand somewhat in nurseries already but a chance is taken that BRIDGE builds on his promising fourth at Ascot now that he is upped a furlong.

18:30 – Majestic Fighter
Jade Country will likely be popular, racing off the same mark as when going down by a nose at Windsor last week, but of greater interest is MAJESTIC FIGHTER. Most of his efforts this year can be marked up and returning to 1m is a big plus, as is Adam Farragher’s 5lb claim.
19:00 – Love De Vega
A couple of runners who are likely to race up with the pace can battle this out, with LOVE DE VEGA favoured. He’s had just seven starts and facing less pace pressure can see him make a winning AW debut. Out From Under has potential as a sprinter and can bounce back from a Racing League disappointment, particularly if cheekpieces have the desired effect. Treacherous is worthy of a mention.
19:30 – Bobby on the Beat (NAP)
Gherkin looks set to bounce back from a poor showing on heavy ground but BOBBY ON THE BEAT (NAP) looks the one to be on. He did well to stick on for third having worked pretty hard to get across from stall 12 at Chelmsford last time.
20:00 – Woe Betide
The lightly raced handicap newcomer WOE BETIDE was a promising third in a C&D novice last time and his useful pedigree also suggests that he is open to further improvement. Coolagh Magic could be the danger now back on AW, while Fristel is another who might not be far away.
20:30 – Monaadhil
The lack of course experience is not ideal for MONAADHIL but he seems to have quite a wide repertoire regarding track types and he did look in good form when winning at Chelmsford on Saturday. Magicinthemaking and Fact Or Fable both have good runs in them but Tea Garden could be in trouble from the rail draw if again slowly away. Rooful has something to prove without headgear after a break but she is capable of a good run if on one of her better days.
