I’d be willing to give KING OF BAVARIA a chance with a bit of cut in the ground. He has failed to win a race this year, but scored a couple of times at the back end of last year on soft ground. He hasn’t been as effective on quicker ground but stepped forward at Navan on his last start.

CAROLINE STREET for Joseph O’Brien could be the one. She was second to Auguste Rodin on Champions Weekend. Ryan Moore rides Dower House, who was behind Tahiyra at Galway, but was no match on that day. Maybe Just Maybe is the other Ballydoyle runner and she has a chance too.

It’s unusual for a 2m race at the Curragh that they’re starting from stalls, but €600,000 on the line they felt they needed that. A wide draw from 20 upwards could be a bit of a drawback as they’re going to have take a right-hand turn. They’re either going to have to burn forward or drop all the way back.
I can see why Waterville is the favourite as he looks like he’s been put aside for this, but I think there’s more to come from ECHOES IN RAIN. Her runs on the Flat have been solid enough, she’s up 10lbs but she’s got a good draw and that could be key. Maze Runner and Lot Of Joy are drawn out in the car park.
