Horse Racing Tips: 11/2 shot will do at Kempton on Wednesday evening

The Racing Post's tipster likes the look of the nice-priced Fangorn at 20:00

17:30 Queen’s Eyot

Lady Wormsley (second choice) and Entrancement should find Class 6 nurseries more suitable than the races they have been contesting, while Beach Breeze could step forward again upped to 1m. QUEEN’S EYOT has improved since moving into nurseries though and he can defy a penalty for his comfortable Yarmouth win ten days ago.

18:00 Luckin Brew

She needs to bounce back from whatever went wrong last time but LUCKIN BREW had previously shaped with a huge amount of promise in a maiden at the July festival that has worked out a treat. The winner Alseyoob was the latest to frank that form when impressing under a penalty at Ascot last week. Rose Of Ithaca has plenty on with her penalty but the newcomers are interesting, notably Moving Colours and Sisyphus Strength.

18:30 Rich Rhythm (NAP)

Red Showgirl is well handicapped if all the better for a break and she can go well when fresh, but RICH RHYTHM (nap) probably has better days ahead of him. Unraced at two, he looked progressive when winning at Windsor and his dam won on Polytrack. None of the seven are ruled out with confidence.

19:00 Manaafith

Crystal Casque had plenty in hand at Salisbury last week and should go well in this stronger event but it won’t be easy lowering the colours of some useful 3yos. Flash Betty could make them all go from her inside stall but the thriving Lila Girl and the unexposed MANAAFITH could fight this out. Clear preference is for Roger Varian’s filly, who won two of her three 2yo runs and looked very promising at Chelmsford when last seen. She has been off for ten months but could have been let into handicaps very lightly.

19:30 Prakasa

Beny Nahar Road has gone close in all of his three runs and he sets a good standard back in trip. He’s strongly respected but the vote goes to Roger Varian’s filly PRAKASA, who showed plenty of promise with her near miss at Southwell on her recent debut and should know much more this time. Another to keep a close eye on is the Gosdens’ well-bred newcomer Sobegrand.

20:00 Fangorn

All of these have something to prove on one count or another. The admirable Porfin would have been the choice from a better draw but as things stand perhaps FANGORN can resume winning ways. His best form this year gives him a solid chance and the booking of Hollie Doyle is an obvious plus. The unexposed Double Time may do better but could also get caught out wide from stall 12 and perhaps Tell’Em Nowt, a stablemate of Porfin, may prove the main danger to the selection. Keep an eye on Inaam in the market too as he is lurking on a dangerous mark.

20:30 Matched

This looks tight with MATCHED, Stormbreaker and Mountain Road all having cases to be made on recent staying form. Matched was much improved for 2m and first-time blinkers on his AW debut at Lingfield and while it’s unlikely he will get away with the same enterprising tactics today he may still have some potential at this trip. Stormbreaker took time to get going when runner-up that day but this more galloping track can suit and he looks the main danger.
