13:20 – FOLLOW YOUR HEART
FOLLOW YOUR HEART has shaped well on numerous occasions this season, and has had possible excuses for two below-par runs since his close third over course and distance last month (form boosted since). He wasn’t suited by the emphasis on stamina at Haydock last time and he might be worth one more chance to show he’s on a favourable mark now back at six furlongs. Anything Harry Davies rides in a race like this needs to be taken seriously so Camachess is next on the list ahead of The Cola Kid.

13:50 – BLATANT
13:50 – There is more quantity than quality in this big-field maiden and it looks a perfect opportunity for BLATANT to open his account. He started off in the Brocklesby and has shown improved form twice since, just beaten by two superior types at Chester last time, and this looks a far easier assignment. Noah David strikes as an interesting newcomer for Richard Hughes and Crosstitch should improve from his debut, too.
14:20 – MIDNIGHT TRAIN
Clive Cox has his team in rude health at present and MIDNIGHT TRAIN is on a steep upward curve having won both of his starts in handicaps this season and he is taken to complete a hat-trick. He didn’t need to improve to win over a similar trip at Nottingham last time, but travelled smoothly and idled when in front. Him and the runner-up pulled clear that day, and he is very much the type to go on improving, so his claims look solid from 6 lb higher. Aryaah likely remains ahead of the handicapper after last week’s near-miss over course and distance and seems sure to go well again.
14:50 – SADIQAA
This looks open, but SADIQAA has performed well on each occasion he has run at this track (course winner), and should appreciate the return to seven furlongs after finding an extended mile at Nottingham last time stretching his stamina. He is now 1 lb below his last winning mark and should make his presence felt. Roman Dynasty is feared most on the back of a solid reappearance effort at Chester and should build on that now.

15:20 – THUNDER ROAR
THUNDER ROAR was an expensive purchase at the breeze-ups last year and shaped with plenty of promise on his debut at Salisbury last September when beaten only by a smart rival. He pulled one and a half lengths clear of the third, who won next time, so he looks useful in his own right, and he sets a good standard on form on his return, while he is open to any amount of improvement now. Knight of Honour has a lovely pedigree and is another open to progress, so looks the obvious danger.
15:50 – SALVATOR MUNDI
SALVATOR MUNDI bumped into some fairly useful types on his first two starts back this year and improved again when third on handicap debut over course and distance last month. He started favourite that day but was unable to quicken with the front two in the final two furlongs. However, he can race from 1 lb lower now, and has the addition of first-time cheekpieces, which could make the difference. Nova Legend is feared most on his first run for the burgeoning James Ferguson yard.

16:25 – LITTLE RAVEN
LITTLE RAVEN has won three times on the all-weather so far this year, seeming liberated from a 10-week break when resuming winning way decisively over the extended mile at Wolverhampton last week. He was given a fine tactical ride on that occasion but was still much too good, and he is ahead of his mark turned out under a 6 lb penalty provided he is as effective on turf. Ey Up Its The Boss was having his first outing over this trip when successful in a big field at Wetherby at the start of the month and looks the biggest danger.
