Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…

Chester-Racecourse

15:40 Chester – Ever Given (On The Nose)

The useful EVER GIVEN, who should be well primed for this occasion, is taken to defy top weight and make a successful reappearance. Second choice is Buckshaw Village who has a few things in his favour. Auditor and Selby’s Pride are likely players provided their wide draws prove no hindrance.

15:50 Kelso – Douglas Talking (Sky Sports)

Potentially trappy but the suggestion is to stick with DOUGLAS TALKING, who still has potential and may be able to improve sufficiently to defy a 3lb rise. Sao is feared most, given that this race should be slightly easier for him.

16:45 Chester – Paws For Thought (Daily Telegraph)

Back at Chester on his debut for a new stable, PAWS FOR THOUGHT could well be the answer. He’s suited by this course and scored in a higher grade on this card last year. Second choice is Big Narstie, who may improve for the first-time cheekpieces. Smeaton’s Light, Ffion and last year’s winner Broken Spear are other suggestions for the shortlist.

18:30 Kempton – The Mad Monk (Racing Post)

The likes of Life’s A Beach, Tiare, Smarden Flyer and Dangerous Rascal in particular still have some potential and are worth tracking in the market, but it’s hard to get away from the hat-trick chasing THE MAD MONK, who remains open to improvement himself and is well-in under a penalty, especially with the promising Harry Davies taking 7lb off.
