It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the table. Let’s get to the bets…
12:20 Sedgefield – Mahler Mission (Morning Star, Farringdon)
MAHLER MISSION has run well to be placed at Ballinrobe and Limerick on his first two rules starts. He has leading claims for Irish trainer John McConnell who does very well with his British raiders.
14:10 Lingfield – U A E Fifty (Daily Telegraph, Marlborough)
U A E FIFTY ran as well as he ever has when a close fourth over 1m at Kempton last week (first-time cheekpieces, retained). Today’s longer trip should have a positive effect and he can take advantage of the handicap.
15:20 Sedgefield – Ravenscar (Steve Mullington)
RAVENSCAR is a four-time Flat winner but she’s offered little since her latest success in March. Been swapped to handicap hurdles in recent months and can take advantage of her tumbling mark.
19:30 Wolverhampton – Emerald Lady (Andrew Mount)
EMERALD LADY did too much too soon over 6f in her first two runs, before stuck out in stall 11 over C&D last time. A repeat of those efforts would give her serious claims now handicapping at a sensible level.
