12:37 Catlin

Bobbie The Dazzler is on a much-reduced mark and was a fair fourth at Hexham 13 days ago, but her sole win was three years ago and preference is for CATLIN. Nick Kent’s six-year-old was pulled up at Market Rasen last week, but that was over a trip sharper than ideal after an absence. This course and distance winner could rediscover her spark on this step back up to 2m 7f.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

13:07 Permission Granted

Abington Park chased home an odds-on rival who was completing a hat-trick at Huntingdon 18 days ago and is respected off an unchanged mark. However, preference is for PERMISSION GRANTED (NAP) who justified support in good style at Ayr last time and remains feasibly treated on his best form. Others who could be dangerous are Fraterculus and the lightly raced seven-year-old Our Idic Boy.

13:37 Tumbling Dice

Our preference is Sue Smith’s unexposed chaser TUMBLING DICE, who ran respectably behind a handicap blot at Sedgefield last time and looks worth another try at this trip.

14:07 Betty Baloo

Preference is for Tim Easterby’s dual bumper winner BETTY BALOO, who may well have scored on her recent hurdling debut at Hexham if she hadn’t made a bad mistake at the last. She looks worth another chance on this step up in trip and gets the vote ahead of Fiadh, who kicked off her hurdling career with a clear second behind a hotpot at Ayr last month.

Tigerpomp has recorded progressive RPRs in her three starts and is respected on her return, while another to consider is hurdling newcomer Letthetruthbeknown.

14:37 Brelan D’as

James Ewart’s course specialist Ascot De Bruyere has a striking record when fresh and looks well treated on his front-running win over course and distance last November. He’s an interesting contender on his return, but slight preference is for BRELAN D’AS – who got back in the groove when staying on well to justify support off a much-reduced mark at Kelso two weeks ago.

15:07 Dinsdale

Michael Scudamore has a very healthy 26% strike-rate at this course and DINSDALE is the only runner he has sent here today from his Herefordshire base. The eight-year-old is well handicapped on his old form and gets the nod on this second start back from a long absence.

The unexposed four-year-old Heritier could be a big danger and is feared most, ahead of Kensington Art who escapes a penalty for his recent, narrow win at Kempton. The in-form Wor Verge is another to consider, while it will be interesting to see if the first-time tongue-tie helps Khanmurjan.

15:40 Kingfisher Lane

Stuart Crawford can land back-to-back runnings thanks to KINGFISHER LANE, who showed plenty of promise in May on his first two starts. Point winner Dondiam is feared most on his rules debut, ahead of Carlisle winner Feel Like De Baune who now carries a penalty.
