14:10 Tiger Orchid

Kavanaghs Cross sets a fair hurdling standard, having finished second in a big-field Kilbeggan maiden in June, but TIGER ORCHID looked very promising when winning two Worcester bumpers this season and gets the nod. Arab Moon and Cirque Royal makes their stable/hurdling debuts after long layoffs but both showed significant ability on the Flat.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

14:45 Printing Dollars (NAP)

Princess Ruby has stamina in her pedigree and is open to significant improvement over this new trip on her handicap debut but another chance is readily given to PRINTING DOLLARS (nap). Laura Morgan’s mare had to settle for second in a chase here on last month’s stable debut but she remains very well handicapped on older form and may well provide her new trainer with another success story. Golden Chancer ought to be on the premises too.

15:20 Juge Et Parti

Minella Trump won over hurdles here when last in action but his chasing record is not particularly convincing and he may find it tough to beat JUGE ET PARTI who looked as good as ever when scoring over 3m here on last month’s stable debut.

15:50 Ingleby Hollow

Island Nation won in very good style over C&D 18 days ago and has plenty of scope for further improvement over hurdles but he tackles much stronger opposition this time and preference is for INGLEBY HOLLOW, who was in good form on the Flat and over hurdles for David O’Meara last month and now makes his debut for a new stable. Handicap debutant Peaked Too Soon is heading in the right direction and also commands respect.

16:25 Bellaney Gem

Caius Marcius still looks quite well handicapped after last month’s Market Rasen win but the answer might be BELLANEY GEM, who went very close off a similar mark over C&D in April and didn’t have the race run to suit when second in a tactical 2m event here last month. Shetland Bus comes here after two Cartmel wins but form from that track doesn’t always travel well and he has a new career-high mark to overcome today.

16:55 Brotherly Company

The most striking contender is BROTHERLY COMPANY, who made it 5-11 for Sandy Thomson when making all at Cartmel and is a major player again back up in trip in his hat-trick bid. The main threat could come from the unexposed chaser Somethinboutangela, who chased home a well-handicapped rival at Stratford on her comeback last month. Third choice is Elmono, who is back on his last winning mark and looks interesting on this drop back in grade.

17:30 Enki Flacke

In what looks a weak contest on paper, ENKI FLACKE is taken to bounce back from a poor run and make a winning start for his new trainer. His fourth at Naas in February reads well in the context of this race. Fellow Irish raider Masrur is much feared, while recent C&D runner-up Solway Molly should also be thereabouts.
