13:25 – With The Moonlight

With The Moonlight has an eyecatching pedigree, being by Frankel and a full sister to the smart Dream Castle, and she was sent off a short-price favourite on debut at Newmarket. She was too green to do herself justice, but plenty from Charlie Appleby’s yard have needed the run on debut before improving markedly, so it would be little surprise were With the Moonlight to prove a completely different proposition here.

14:00 – Radetsky

Radetsky was well backed on his first start for Jane Chapple-Hyam at Wolverhampton last week but he was slowly into stride and left poorly placed as a consequence. He was never able to get competitive in a race in which it paid to race prominently, but the market support was notable and it would be little surprise were he to gain a measure of compensation here. He is well treated on the form he showed last year.

14:35 – Giveit Some Orange

Giveit Some Orange offered plenty to work with when finishing runner-up at Brighton on his belated debut last month. The four-year-old showed signs of inexperience but caught the eye with some decent late work, keeping on nicely in the style of a horse who would benefit from the outing. This is not a strong race and looks a good opportunity for Giveit Some Orange to get off the mark.

15:10 – Alehandro

Alehandro can score on his first start for Michael Bell. He ran poorly on his final outing for Eugene Stanford at Nottingham in April, but his close-up second at Newcastle in March suggests that he is on a decent mark. He is still relatively unexposed and open to improvement for his new yard.

15:45 – Pax Britannica

Pax Britannica ran poorly at Chester on his latest outing, but she was possibly unsuited by soft ground on that occasion and will be better suited by returning to an artificial surface. Pax Britannica was a convincing winner over course and distance last season and looks fairly treated based on that three-length success. She had been in decent form prior to Chester.

16:18 – Rewaayat

Rewaayat has been expensive to follow and has been a beaten favourite on all four outings since winning at Salisbury last season. However, he looked like a well-handicapped sprinter when finishing runner-up on his seasonal reappearance at Newmarket, where he found only a subsequent Group 1-placed rival too strong. He is good enough to win this if putting it all together.

16:50 – Almadrina

Almadrina has been performing consistently well this season and arrives here on the back of three runner-up efforts. That indicates that she doesn’t have much in hand from her current mark, but she’s also a reliable, in-form filly and appeals as the most solid option in a race containing some rivals with plenty to prove.
