Chester 13.40 – Havagomecca

Havagomecca has the plum draw, although she will probably not use it and will be taken back to swoop late and fast to just pick off Rebel At Dawn in this one.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

York 14.00 – Civil Law

This’ll be the quickest ground encountered yet but Civil Law absolutely hosed up on the all weather last time. Maybe he needs that surface but also maybe a winning groove has been found!

Sandown 14.15 – Nelson Gay

Nelson Gay spread eagled the field here three runs ago, he won by six and a half lengths and the second was thee lengths clear of third… over five furlongs! I’m not sure how many of Saturday’s rivals are capable of that.

York 14.35 – Baashir

Baashir all but won last time and went up a few pounds for it but last year he won over seven furlongs on good to firm ground, so clearly he has it in him.

Sandown 14.50 – Buxted Too

Buxted Too ran really well here in April when finishing second to a really good winner who went from the front and got away. Buxted Too was four lengths clear of the third which showed a great attitude to go and chase the winner.

York 15.05 – Makawee

It’s hard to know exactly what’s ideal for Makawee as she has performed well on both soft and fast ground. That’s a good thing though and she has less question marks than the opposition here.

Chester 15.20 – Side Shot

Side Shot was stuffed last time but that was on heavy ground. The time before he was impressive on good to firm. He has to give weight away on Saturday but the step up in trip might just suit him.

York 15.40 -Aikido

Ger Lyons sends over this Irish raider in Aikido and not just for the craic. He’s on a roll and they must feel like he’s got a bit up his sleeve and when sprinters run hot, they can string a few together.
