Elusif bounced back to form on his first outing for Phil McEntee, showing a good turn of foot to quickly put the race to bed, and he followed up under a penalty two days later when holding off a fast-finishing rival.

He is clearly better than ever after changing yards, and, though he must concede 5lb all round here, that still leaves him hugely favoured at the weights based on his recent performances. He is very much the one to beat as a result and is hard to oppose in his hat-trick bid.
