I’m at Newmarket for three days from Thursday and there’s plenty of classy action to look forward to on ITV3. Thta’s ITV3 everyone!
Let’s get straight to it, and the 1.50pm Thursday is a Group 3 over 1m5f. EAGLES BY DAY was staying on over 1m4f in the King Edward VII at Royal Ascot and will take some stopping here for Michael Bell. Looks too classy for those proven at this trip.
Next up at Newmarket is the Group 2 July Stakes over 6f. Visinari promises much, but GUILDSMAN was a close third in the Coventry at Royal Ascot and that form might be enough here for Archie Watson and Oisin Murphy.
There’s a 6f handicap to enjoy at 3.00pm. I’ll have a few quid eachway on DAZZLING DAN. Pam Sly’s improver is ultra consistent was wasn’t disgraced at all at York last time. Has every chance of hitting the frame under David Probert.
And finally the feature Group 2 Princess of Wales’s Stakes at 3.35pm. Masar may well hack up, but MIRAGE DANCER was over three lengths in front of him at Royal Ascot and is also an improver for Sir Michael Stoute. My hope will certainly put up a fight.
