16.00 Dundalk – Pineapple Express

This a very competitive handicap with plenty of decent form on offer but Pineapple Express looks the one to me in here. She got ran down late last time having possibly kicked for home a little early in what was a very strongly run race. The handicapper has put her up a further 1lb for that run, but I’d be very surprised if she doesn’t prove much better than this current mark of 61 over the coming months.

16.30 Dundalk – Tartlette

Tartlette has to carry top weight here and give 10lbs and more to the field but the way she won over course and distance two weeks ago suggests she should be well up to it. She’s running now off a career high mark of 90 but this doesn’t look the deepest of handicaps. Her course record now stands at three wins from six runs and she should prove tough to beat again.

18.30 Dundalk – Laugh A Minute

This is a trappy conditions race and although San Andreas comes out best on these terms, he was out of form the last time we saw him and returns off a 229-day break. For that reason, I’m siding with Laugh A Minute who was second to Harry’s Bar in a Listed contest back in November and with three second-place finishes around Dundalk, I’m hoping he can add a win at his sixth attempt on the all-weather.
